Notes

On the eve of Epiphany, join us for a public reading of the Gospel of Mark—in the roundfrom the the Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas, Dr. Brant Pope. This dramatic hour of reading from the Scholar’s Version of the text produces the experience of first century listeners hearing this first Gospel as if for the first time. This rare occasion offers those with the ears to hear a sublime chance to see deeper into the mystery of the Christmas season that culminates with the Epiphany, the revealing of light in darkness.

There will be some appetizers and drink offered beginning at 6:30pm in Kinsolving Hall on the grounds of All Saints’ Episcopal Church. The reading in the round begins promptly at 7:15pm and ends by 8:30pm.

This is a unique collaboration between All Saints’ Episcopal Church, The Front Porch, Home Cooked Fridays, and Micah 6. More details are available at this link.
